The College: A small, private, nonsectarian, co-educational, liberal arts college founded in 1853. History

Campus: The 120-acre campus, with access to a variety of student life options provided by our host campus IIT, includes more than 100 facilities,

including a performing arts center, fitness center, and dining hall.

Calendar: Two 15-week semesters; one six-week summer session.

Programs: Day Program for traditional-age students, Every-Third-Weekend Program for working adults, Shimer-in-Oxford Program for third- and fourth-year students, Early Entrant Program for high school-age students; graduate courses in the Teaching Fellows Program for professional teacher development.  Academic Programs

Library: 20,000 volume print and media collection, electronic databases (Shimer College Library). Access to the 1.1 million volumes in the Galvin Library. Tuition and Financial Aid: Total costs for 2007-08 for traditional Weekday Program is estimated at $31,263, including $22,645 for tuition and $8,618 for room and board. Tuition for the Weekend Program is $17,250.  Financial Aid
