1. Interested students should submit a petition to the Office of Educational Services at IIT requesting permission to complete a course at Shimer College. Requests will be reviewed by Educational Services and the appropriate academic dean.

2. Once the course is approved by Educational Services, the student should then bring a copy of the petition to the Office of the Registrar at Shimer College, where the request will be reviewed for course availability If there is space in the class, the student will be registered.

3. IIT students will not be required to pay any special fees or tuition for courses completed at Shimer College. Tuition charges will be handled at the institutional level. Registration for IIT students at Shimer will take place during open registration. Call Jim Ulrich at 312-235-3523 with questions about registration.
