| Substantial financial aid is available for those participants with demonstrable need. For the Spring 2009 semester a supporting foundation has made it possible for Shimer to offer each participating teacher a tuition grant consisting of two-thirds of tuition ($1260 per course) provided that there is a cohort of 10 to 15 teachers who are enrolled by February 7, 2009. Teachers who enroll for the spring semester are also eligible for a one-half tuition grant for the Fall 2009 semester. Tuition grants for all subsequent courses will be at the one-third tuition level based upon need. |
